Established in the heart of Des Moines, IA

Families living without enough, and losing hope.

Life on the wrong side of the poverty line

is no child’s game.

But nearly 15 million families in America are

struggling there right now.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

Matthew 25:35-36

For I was hungry and you gave

me something to eat,

I was thirsty and you gave me

something to drink,

I was a stranger and you invited me in,

I needed clothes and you clothed me,

I was sick and you looked after me,

We will be going out into the wrong side of the poverty line and will be reaching out to these families with

boxes of food and clothing.

Census Report Shows Number Of Families Unable To Afford Food Is Rising

About 12 million American families last year worried that they couldn't afford to buy food, and 32 percent of them actually experienced someone going hungry at one time or another. Also, more and more families are unsure if they can afford to eat

or don't have enough food in their cupboards.

One or more children in an estimated 265,000 families on occasion missed meals last year because the families either couldn't afford to eat or didn't have enough food at home.
